Life’s short. Eat dessert first.
Effing Delicious

The baker behind the recipes

Hi, I’m Camila.

I’m a trained pastry professional, food-science graduate, and bakery product developer. Effing Delicious is where I turn professional technique into dependable desserts for home bakers.

I earned a diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts Management from George Brown College after completing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nutrition and Food at Toronto Metropolitan University. My university training covered chemistry, microbiology, nutrition, and food-science foundations, giving me a practical understanding of how ingredients behave and why baking methods work.

For more than five years, I have worked as a product developer in both small and large bakery businesses. That experience has involved developing formulas, testing recipes, refining flavour and texture, solving production problems, and making sure a dessert can be reproduced consistently.

Why I started Effing Delicious

I created Effing Delicious to share desserts that are indulgent without being unreliable. Every recipe is written to give you clear steps, useful visual cues, and the reasoning that helps you understand what is happening in the bowl, oven, or water bath.

You’ll find cakes, cookies, cheesecakes, brownies, pies, frozen desserts, no-bake treats, and plenty of flans and custards. The recipes combine pastry training, food science, and the practical lessons that come from developing baked goods professionally.

Training and experience

What I bring to every recipe

  • Baking and Pastry Arts Management diploma from George Brown College
  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Nutrition and Food from Toronto Metropolitan University
  • Academic foundations in chemistry, microbiology, nutrition, and food science
  • More than five years of bakery product-development experience
  • Experience working with both small and large bakery businesses

My recipe promise

I want each recipe to feel achievable before you begin and worth repeating after the first bite. I test for flavour, texture, timing, temperature, and the details that often decide whether a dessert is merely fine or genuinely memorable.

Because dessert should be more than good. It should be effing delicious.
